Community Art Work
I have had numerous community art projects including ‘artist in residence' at the Cobb & Co. Museum/Gallery, Surat 2003.
Drawing lessons to school students and to the adult community in Regional Centres including Mitchell, Roma, Dirranbandi, Surat.
Employed with Booringa Shire Council with various Streetscape projects including design and fabrication of elements within the Tourist Information centre pathway, Childrens Playground , and main street. 1996-2000
In 1997 I received an Australia Day Award for Community Arts.
My paintings and drawings explore the relationship and connections between people and their landscape by overlapping visual imagery and textures.
I have always been interested in the relationship between the landscape and people. Having lived on a property in South West Queensland for over 20 years, I have seen how people weather and change like their landscape and in turn how environments change not only with time but with the impact of people and their cultures.
I am currently a member of Artworkers Alliance
