Michelle Phillips made the sea-change from Sydney over twenty years ago, and now lives with her family at Kingscliff on the NSW North Coast. Her artwork is displayed in private homes and corporate centres from Sri Lanka to Tel Aviv, from London to Australia and the Hibiscus Coast of NZ. Michelle's artwork makes an explosive statement about the diversity of her beautiful natural environment – from mountain ranges, to extinct volcanoes and the ocean – throughout all of the region's changing seasons. Her work combines the use of diverse materials such as surfboard resin, to create movement, texture and colour. The use of resin accentuates her bold array of colours, and literally gives life to blank walls. One thing all of Michelle's pieces have in common, is that they exude warmth, a reflection of Michelle's own warm bubbly creative personality and great sense of humour and fun (eg her piece Swirl). She expresses that her greatest creative desire above all else is to see people enjoying her work – her way of adding a tad more joy to the world.
